As the master carpenter prepares the table saw to create a sample raised-panel door for the Silvas' kitchen, our host notices Tom's innovative window flashing method: a waterproof membrane topped with a custom-bent lead-coated copper gap. The installation of factory-primed and first-coated cement clapboards receives high praise.
