Episode Overview

In the frigid weather, landscape contractor Roger Cook teams up with students from YouthBuild Boston to lay down soil and sod in the backyard. At the same time, fence contractor Mike McLaughlin and his crew are hard at work installing a PVC privacy fence around the yard's perimeter. Inside, master carpenter Norm Abram and lead carpenter Colin Paterson enhance the bay window area by fitting custom casings and paneling. As the original plaster ceiling medallions are unsalvageable, Norm enlists preservation plasterer Rory Brennan to recreate them on-site using molds from a previous Charlestown project. They successfully install a new medallion in the front parlor, while outside, the sod and fence projects make significant progress, thanks to the dedicated apprentices.
