Episode Overview

Rio and his companions arrive in the royal capital of the Kingdom of Karasuki to deliver the village's annual tribute. After completing their task, Rio and Sayo explore the bustling castle town, enjoying a meal and shopping. Suddenly, a group of wandering warriors attempts to kidnap a young girl. Without hesitation, Rio intervenes and swiftly defeats the assailants, rescuing the girl, who introduces herself as Komomo, the younger sister of tax examiner Hayate. Meanwhile, Hayate’s father, Gouki, receives an unexpected letter from Yuba that leaves him stunned. He and his wife, Kayoko, go to Rio's lodgings to share that they once served his mother, Ayame.
