Half a year has gone by since Brian departed the town after a painful argument with Marjorie, the love of his life, who is also engaged to his best friend, Adam. Meanwhile, Dave and Deena are reeling from the consequences of their ill-fated attempt at an open marriage. On another note, Brian's sister, Nicole, is overjoyed to be expecting a baby, but she's largely handling the preparations by herself since her husband is in Rome, busy filming his debut movie.
