Episode Overview

When Chris’s guitar tech passes out from too much drinking backstage, he recruits Jimmy Vane, a talented guitarist who once led the band the Hurricanes, to step in. Although Chris hasn’t seen Jimmy in years, he learns that Jimmy has struggled with addiction and even spent time in prison, but he insists he’s turned his life around and knows his way around guitars. Initially, things go smoothly, but Chris soon feels that Jimmy resents his success, especially when Jimmy takes center stage during a performance with Silvertone, much to Hershel's displeasure. Meanwhile, Yola is taken aback to see her old college friend Meg, who has transformed from heavyset to stunningly attractive, now using her looks to attract attention from songwriters like Chris. Anson, on the other hand, finds his own unconventional muse in Lisa, the makeup artist at the funeral home where he’s picked up a side job.
