Episode Overview

Rebounding from his split with Stephanie, Chris breaks an unspoken rule within the band and begins seeing a young singer-songwriter named Olivia. While he finds her songwriting skills lacking, he can’t deny her allure, especially since her father owns a prime surfing beach in California. However, their romance faces a challenge during a ceremony at the San Francisco Zoo, where Chris’s record label has named an adopted animal after him. To his dismay, the mischievous chimp named ‘Isaak’ proves to have a poor opinion of Chris’s choice in women. Meanwhile, Yola experiences her own awkward moment when she learns that her mother’s new boyfriend, Brad, is someone she once dated and broke up with. While Mom believes she’s found true love, Yola suspects Brad may have ulterior motives and is determined to outsmart him. At the same time, Anson's masculinity is challenged as he begins dating the zoo’s herpetologist.
