Overview
Celebrity Deathmatch brought a unique blend of claymation and dark humor to the screen, pitting famous personalities against each other in a wrestling arena where matches often concluded with hilariously grotesque fatalities. Created by Eric Fogel, the show debuted on MTV in early 1998 and ran for 75 episodes until 2002, featuring over-the-top violence and memorable guest commentators like Stone Cold Steve Austin. After an attempted film adaptation was shelved in 2003, MTV2 revived the show in 2006, where its fifth season premiered to record-breaking viewership, solidifying its cult status in animated television.
