On a sweltering day, the city grapples with a series of blackouts, leaving most residents in the dark. The sole location still buzzing with energy is the museum, now fully solar-powered. Curious about harnessing solar energy, George attempts to charge his toy UFO and cordless phone at home. As he discovers the true mechanics behind solar electricity, a new blackout threatens the museum's upcoming power upgrade party. When the Man struggles to prepare his lasagna for the event, he and George realize that the sun's warmth can also be utilized for cooking.
