Episode Overview

Mel decides to ground Lennox for not doing well in chemistry, insisting she needs to focus on her studies. However, things take a turn when Senator Russell Burke, Mel’s father, arrives unannounced and begins to undermine her decisions. He charms Joe and whisks the kids away for a night of enjoyment, disregarding Mel’s rules. Observing the tension between Mel and Lennox, Senator Burke extends an invitation for Lennox to come live with him and her grandmother in Washington, D.C.
