Ghosts of Beirut (2023)

Episode Overview

After an assault on the US Embassy, the CIA decides to appoint mercenary William Buckley as the new Station Chief, with case officer Chet Riley tasked to identify the assailant. Chet enlists a source connected to Imad, leading to the discovery of the only photo the CIA would possess for the next quarter-century. Imad intensifies his aggression by bombing the US Marines' barracks and abducting Buckley, causing alarm within the White House and for CIA Director William Casey. As a result, the US pulls out of Lebanon, allowing Imad Mughniyeh to rise as a significant power in the Middle East.
