Episode Overview
After a night out at the club, Tea spends the night with her schoolmate Betty, viewing it as a casual fling while Betty hopes for something deeper. Tea finds the girls she dates uninteresting and feels no one truly connects with her. Meanwhile, Stanley faces threats from the drug dealer Dr. Le Dong over lost weed. Unbeknownst to Tea, her father has arranged a blind date with Tony. They end up having a wild night, but Tea quickly regrets the encounter. The following day, Betty kisses Tea at school, catching the attention of Tony, who feels a twinge of jealousy. Michelle remains unaware of Tea's night with Tony. Later, Tea visits her Nana, who shares a poignant story of her own forbidden love during Eisenhower's presidency, leaving Tea in tears. The episode wraps up with Tony calling, but when Tea insists it won't work, he claims they are meant to be. Ignoring Betty's call, she hangs up with Tony and starts dancing to "
