Callisto emerges from Hell with a dual objective: to lead Xena astray and to elevate Julius Caesar to the position of emperor. However, her plans take an unexpected turn when Caesar's supporters betray him. Meanwhile, Xena and Gabrielle find themselves captured by Roman soldiers, who cruelly crucify them.
