Episode Overview

While in self-imposed exile on Mars, Dr. Manhattan reflects on his earlier life as Jon Osterman, the son of a watchmaker who pressured him to pursue a path in nuclear physics. A catastrophic incident in a nuclear facility transforms Osterman into a radioactive "super being," forcing him to abandon his romantic relationship with his first love.
