Episode Overview

While heading to a clinic, some medical supplies tumble off the truck and are forgotten. David arrives back at the hospital with several patients, leaving only Geoff, Kate, and Emma behind. Geoff suddenly falls ill with appendicitis and requires surgery. With no access to a proper operating room, Kate must perform the procedure in an Aboriginal cave, guided by Tom via radio from the base. Meanwhile, David is on a helicopter returning to the scene. Kate successfully completes the surgery, and Geoff recovers well.
