The Gujo Odori is one of Japan's most significant Bon dances, featuring throngs of participants, lively festival music, and the rhythmic sound of wooden geta clogs. Taking place over 30 nights from July to September, this vibrant celebration has been a tradition for over 400 years in the mountainous village of Gujo-Hachiman in Gifu Prefecture. The highlight is the all-night dance that spans four days, commencing on August 13.
