Dr. Hicks chastises Benton for attempting to change his schedule to celebrate his mother's birthday. An adolescent girl, a regular visitor to the ER, arrives after suffering from a drug overdose. Meanwhile, Carol expresses her desire to adopt Tatiana, but Tag remains uncertain. In a moment of rage, Dr. Ross punches an abusive father in the hospital lobby. Jen decides to accept a job opportunity in Milwaukee, turning down Mark's offer from Morganstern. Deb and Carter anxiously await the submissions for sub-internships.
