In a desperate bid for custody of Reese, Benton lies under oath. When Romano denies him a more balanced schedule, Peter quits and pursues a position at the clinic where Cleo has just started working. Benton ultimately secures custody of Reese, prompting him and Cleo to plan a move to the suburbs. Meanwhile, Carter's father arrives for the holidays with news of his impending divorce, Weaver and Sandy Lopez finally share a date, and Abby stumbles upon Nicole in the maternity ward, where she is recuperating from an abortion.
