Blott on the Landscape (1985)

Episode Overview

As Sir Giles attempts to escape, he is suddenly attacked and killed by a lion, leaving Lady Maud a wealthy widow thanks to his overseas investments. Meanwhile, Blott, having stockpiled a significant amount of ammunition, barricades himself in the hall's gatehouse as Dundridge orders the SAS to launch an assault. In a heartfelt televised address, Blott defends the notion that an Englishman's home is his castle, effectively quashing plans for the motorway. Dundridge, blamed for the chaos, finds himself in prison, where he happily reorganizes the library. Grateful for Blott's support, Lady Maud marries him, and they look forward to starting a family.
