Overview
Welcome to Paradox, airing on the Sci Fi Channel and Showcase in 1998, is a sci-fi anthology that unfolds in the imagined city of Betaville. Although filmed in Canada, it premiered in the U.S. on August 17 and concluded after one season on November 9, 1998. The series, which never reached syndication due to its short run, adapted classic tales from renowned science fiction writers, highlighting humanity's struggles with advancing technology. Each episode featured a narrator who introduced and concluded the stories, reminiscent of The Twilight Zone. Unique to Betaville, the Volkswagen New Beetle became the city's iconic vehicle.
