Alice reminisces about her upbringing with the Barones, a seemingly perfect American sitcom family—at least on the surface. Her father assigns her the grim task of disposing of Salvo Ferraù's body, known as the "Damerinu." Meanwhile, Grandma Lina takes it upon herself to track down the deceased. But she’s not alone; the Ferraù cousins have come all the way from Calabria. Assunta, the fortune teller, and the erratic Nereo are determined to locate their missing brother.
