Episode Overview
On September 20, 2010, William Espinosa Ubando was taken into custody at a colleague's residence after violently attacking his girlfriend, Ritchie Lei Lusung Campued. The pair, both married with children, had started their relationship in December 2009 while working at a care facility. They left their spouses to live together, but their romance quickly deteriorated as Ubando became increasingly possessive. When Campued attempted to end the relationship, he threatened her life. After a heated argument, the 41-year-old grabbed a baseball bat from his car and fatally assaulted her. In a panic, he placed her body in the passenger seat and drove around, eventually confessing to his ex-wife before arriving at his co-worker's home. Ubando received a life sentence without the chance of parole.
