Episode Overview

Beth, an old friend of the Simons, arrives at their office with a troubling situation. She discovered a blackmail note directed at one of the contestants in her beauty pageant, which she oversees. Concerned about the integrity of the event, she enlists the Simons' help to go undercover and uncover the blackmail scheme. With enthusiasm, Rick proposes that AJ participate as a contestant while he acts as a judge. AJ is reluctant, particularly about the swimsuit round, but ultimately agrees. The tension escalates when the pageant host stumbles upon the blackmailer being attacked by two thugs. In a desperate move, the blackmailer kills the host, leading to a contestant being wrongfully accused of murder. They learn that she was being blackmailed due to her troubled past as an unmarried mother. The Simons are convinced of her innocence and persuade Abby to grant them 48 hours to solve the case.
