Episode Overview

Woody Grant, John Channing, and Mark Fordham are entangled in an insider trading operation, leveraging intel from Woody’s father’s company. When Woody decides he wants to back out, he ends up dead. His devastated father enlists Rick and A.J. to dig into the case, eventually pointing the finger at John for the murder. However, Doug McKenna, who is dating their mother and is a longtime friend of the Channing family, steps in to defend John in court. In a bid to prove John's innocence, he fiercely cross-examines A.J. and Rick. After John is acquitted, the Simon brothers find themselves under scrutiny. They manage to persuade Lloyd Grant to allow them to continue the investigation, but progress stalls until Mark also expresses his desire to exit the scheme and is subsequently pushed off a library walkway. Seeking answers, Rick, A.J., and Doug devise a plan to outsmart Channing.
