Episode Overview

Sugimoto and Hijikata's teams covertly tunnel into Abashiri Prison, joining forces with Chief Kadokura, a Hijikata ally. On a dark, moonless night, they set their escape plan into motion: Inkarmat, Cikapasi, Nagakura, and Ienga remain outside; Ogata keeps watch; while Kiroranke, Ushiyama, and Hijikata are ready to assist. Inside, Sugimoto, Asirpa, Shiraishi, and Anji discover a decoy in Nopperabo's cell, causing a panic as he screams, triggering an alarm. Amidst the ensuing turmoil, Tsurumi and the 7th Division launch an assault on the prison from the river, in search of both Nopperabo and Asirpa.
