Episode Overview

In Victoria, the first Australians face the looming danger of extinction as Simon Wonga, the leader of the Wurundjeri clan, attempts to secure land from the government. Frustrated, he ultimately decides to guide his people to the Yarra River, where they establish a settlement known as Coranderrk. With the assistance of a Scottish minister and motivated by the settlers' agricultural techniques, the community thrives. However, their progress is soon threatened when authorities intervene, undermining their quest for self-determination.
