In the first half of the two-part season seven premiere, Grissom and Catherine investigate the discovery of a woman's corpse by a Cirque du Soleil performer. Simultaneously, a party on the rooftop of one of Sam Braun's new casinos turns deadly when an investor is shot. After a night at a nightclub with Nick, Catherine finds herself in a perilous situation. Meanwhile, Grissom uncovers a tiny replica of the crime scene he is currently examining.
