Title: You Don't Hear the One That Gets You Plot: Mark is ecstatic after winning $20,000 in an Arizona Modified race, but his excitement turns to despair when robbers steal his cash and his beloved Coyote. Deputy Sheriff Dan Johnson identifies the culprits as local criminals Arvin Lee and Melissa Kantwell, complicating matters since Melissa is married to Sheriff Billy Blackstone. After retrieving the Coyote from a used car dealer, Hardcastle and McCormick set out to find the criminals. They are shocked to discover Arvin Lee has been murdered, leading them to suspect Blackstone's involvement. Their investigation reveals that Melissa may have feigned affection for Arvin to manipulate him. With Johnson’s assistance, Hardcastle and McCormick track down Blackstone and Melissa, but the confrontation escalates, resulting in Blackstone's death and a fire that consumes Mark's winnings.
