S03E01 She Ain't Deep, But She Sure Runs Fast
Episode Overview
In the premiere of the third season, Hardcastle and McCormick join Buzz Bird, an old friend of the judge, for a photography trip. Unfortunately, Buzz, a pilot, suffers a heart attack while flying them over the stunning Oregon wilderness. Although Hardcastle and McCormick survive the crash, they find themselves stranded far from help and unwittingly attract the attention of Taylor Walsh, a mountain "pirate" who preys on tourists. After enduring a fierce rainstorm, Hardcastle takes a moment to express his appreciation for their friendship, unaware that Mark is actually awake and listening. The next day, they stumble upon the corpse of a murder victim and realize they’re being hunted. To escape, they take to white water rafting, but Taylor and his crew launch an attack. Fleeing to safety, Hardcastle and McCormick manage to capture the pirates instead. A month later, they finally return to civilization, bringing their captives with them.
