Phoebe is convinced that the spirit of her adoptive mother has inhabited a cat that unexpectedly leaped into her guitar case at Central Perk. Meanwhile, Monica finds herself on a date with Rachel's attractive high-school ex, who may have been a catch back then but has since hit rock bottom. Additionally, Joey and Chandler make the decision to sell their entertainment center, but Joey's antics reach new heights of absurdity as he navigates the process.
