Episode Overview

Finch is taken aback by an unexpected visit from his estranged father, Red Finch, a fireman. Their previously strained relationship leaves Finch speculating about the reason for his father's visit, fearing it might involve bad news or infidelity. However, he is blindsided when Red reveals he's come to terms with Finch's sexuality, mistakenly believing him to be gay. Finch struggles to clarify the misunderstanding. Meanwhile, Maya tries to change Jack's perception of her neighborhood by inviting him over for dinner, but a robbery earlier that day throws a wrench into her plans.
