General Crommer, a wealthy retiree, is on his deathbed and reaches out to Padadin, who harbors a long-standing resentment towards him. Crommer requests Padadin to deliver a message of forgiveness to a man who despises him even more. This dangerous task could put Padadin’s life at risk, but he must weigh his feelings against the general's final wish.
