You Bet! (1988)
Overview
You Bet! was a British game show inspired by the German series Wetten, dass..? created by Frank Elstner. It aired on ITV, primarily on Saturday evenings but occasionally on Fridays, from February 20, 1988, until April 12, 1997. The show was initially hosted by Bruce Forsyth until 1990, then Matthew Kelly took over from 1991 to 1995, followed by Darren Day from 1996 to 1997. The show was succeeded in 1998 by Don't Try This At Home!, which featured similar challenges but with a focus on riskier and more dangerous stunts.
