Episode Overview

When the television breaks down, Edith plans to surprise Archie with a new one for their 30th wedding anniversary. However, the store clerk refuses to sell her a TV without Archie's signature, citing her gender as the reason. Frustrated, Edith heads to the bank to secure a loan, but is denied because she's a housewife without a job, which only fuels her anger. Feeling stuck, she returns home and asks Archie for $500 without revealing her intentions. During their chat, she realizes that Archie might have some sexist views as well.
