Episode Overview

After last season's successful run of Macbeth on Broadway, Geoffrey feels the weight of expectations to create another hit. His next choice, King Lear, poses an even tougher challenge. Overwhelmed and scared to tackle this monumental task alone, he looks for guidance from his spectral mentor, Oliver Wells, but finds him missing. Meanwhile, Ellen, Geoffrey's complicated love interest, is preoccupied with her own feelings and unable to assist him. In a desperate move, Geoffrey convinces his childhood idol, Charles Kingman, to come out of retirement and take on the role of King Lear.
