Episode Overview

The crew of the Enterprise encounters the Vissians, a unique species with three distinct genders. Trip forms a connection with a member of the third gender, referred to as the Cogenitor, and uncovers the harsh treatment they endure from Vissian society. Concerned for the Cogenitor's well-being, Trip tries to offer assistance, despite the potential clash with Vissian customs and traditions.
