As Beth copes with the impending loss of her mother, she struggles emotionally. Meanwhile, Izzy and Byrd find themselves distanced from the family. In a separate storyline, Russell takes on a challenging new client, Dauri Rathbun, adding more complexity to his already tumultuous life.
