During parents weekend, Eddie and Joy stay in Allison's dorm, where they encounter a partying single dad. As Allison reveals her new major and plans for the upcoming semester, Eddie and Joy attempt to sway her decision, only to come to terms with the fact that their own past choices have shaped their current circumstances. Meanwhile, Jeff enlists a helper for Steph to tile the bathroom, but this arrangement brings out her less-than-pleasant side.
