After Joy buys a pair of new lamps for her bedroom, she discovers that only one is functional while the other is defective. This leads to a heated argument between Joy and Eddie over who gets to keep the working lamp. At the same time, Jeff is determined to assert his freedom to go to bed whenever he chooses, adding to the chaos in the household.
