Veil, weary and disoriented, finds himself at the doorstep of Scott Hansen, a reclusive computer whiz who has fallen on hard times. This young hacker manages to retrieve Veil's deleted files, the last remnants of his former life. Through a complex virtual reality experience, Scott transports Veil back to moments with his wife, Alyson, while also uncovering crucial details about the people chasing him.
