Taylor shares with Peter that she is the younger sister of his deceased wife, Beth. While Amanda is on a business trip, she spends time with Peter and helps him choose a ring for her. After Billy makes a joke about Jake and Alison's troubles, Samantha decides to cut ties with him and starts dating Craig instead. Meanwhile, Michael discovers that Megan is involved in prostitution. Kimberly receives news of her inoperable brain tumor, prompting Michael to promise he will care for Megan. After Michael leaves her place, Kimberly visits to discuss their “arrangement.” Jake tells Jane that their relationship has ended, and she realizes she has been misdirecting her anger toward Richard at him. Matt acknowledges Dan's support for his academic improvement.
