Michael goes to great lengths to win Megan back, but Brett worries his efforts are paying off when Megan opts to hold off on filing for divorce until after Christmas. To take control, Brett arranges for the divorce papers to arrive on Christmas Eve. Meanwhile, Jennifer coerces Lexi into relieving Brett of his alimony, then persuades him to hand over his "forged" sketches of the cauterizer. In a state of distress, Lexi overdoses. Jennifer cuts ties with Michael upon discovering he did indeed steal the invention idea. Taylor persuades her friend Jon Secada to hold a Christmas Eve concert to help cover a balloon payment. After Kyle gets drunk and passes out with the cash, Taylor hides the money and claims it was stolen, convincing Kyle to join her in Las Vegas to recover their losses. Billy finds himself decorating with Connie while Sam works late, but Connie's attempts to undermine him and flirt create tension. Sam sides with Connie when Billy confronts her.
