Taylor heads to Dallas to see Nick, but even after they spend the night together, he remains tight-lipped about Christine. She persuades him to help her separate Kyle and Amanda by mentioning the jazz club Nick had always wanted to start with Kyle and how far Kyle has fallen. Nick reveals that Christine didn’t die right away from her injuries; she urged him to tell Kyle she was gone so he could move forward. Meanwhile, Michael is kicked out of the practice after Amber gets drunk and humiliates him at an event. Megan breaks things off with Brett, who supplied Amber with alcohol. In retaliation, Michael tosses Amber out, prompting her to clear out his home. Lexi's father continues to belittle Peter, contrasting him with Brett, and offers Lexi a role managing one of his businesses. Billy and Samantha attempt to recruit promising baseball player Jeff Baylor as a spokesperson for their client. Jennifer discovers that Craig has implemented dangerous cost-cutting measures.
