Billy is determined to salvage his marriage, even as he finds himself still attracted to Jennifer. Sam is taken aback by Jeff's unexpected proposal. Meanwhile, Taylor seeks refuge at the beach house until Michael confirms that Nick has left the area. Nick sends a note to Kyle, expressing his regrets about Taylor's passing, but she dismisses it with laughter. With Jen's assistance, Kyle uncovers that "Christine" had been in touch with Nick. Amanda distances herself from Kyle and consults Peter, inadvertently creating tension between him and Lexi, who have just settled into a new condo. Peter skips dinner with Amanda to mend things with Lexi. Brett proposes that he and Megan escape their past relationships for a new beginning, sharing that he’s in the running for a job at a research hospital in Philadelphia.
