Craig's advertising firm crumbles under Eric's pressure on the investors. Kyle confronts Amanda, accusing her of being callous toward Craig's predicament. In an attempt to help, she offers Craig a position, but he turns it down. Meanwhile, Billy almost proposes to Samantha but hesitates. When Sam expresses her desire to marry him, he admits he's not ready, leading her to walk away. Kyle is frustrated when Eric plans to relocate to Los Angeles. Michael attends a medical conference in Santa Barbara with Peter to escape Taylor's relentless demands, only to find himself drained when Taylor and an unexpectedly warm Megan appear at his hotel. Brett's ex-wife, Lexi, visits to renegotiate their financial deal, and sparks fly between her and Peter. Taylor believes Michael may have gotten her pregnant, while Mrs. Shaw cautions Brett to steer clear of Michael, but he insists he has a scheme to sabotage him.
