Upon discovering Boone's intention to reveal their "secret" to Shannon, Locke decides to intervene and teach him a lesson, inadvertently putting Shannon’s safety at risk. As tensions rise, the siblings' unsettling history is unveiled, shedding light on their relationship just before the crash and hinting at the looming threat of the creature. Meanwhile, Kate, who has become close with the reserved Sun, finds herself confused by Sun's enigmatic actions and the unexpected news of her English-speaking ability. Additionally, a famished Hurley must persuade Jin to share his catch of fish, attempting to make amends for previously snubbing Jin’s raw fish offer, or he'll continue to face digestive troubles from the island's limited food supply.
