Episode Overview

A sting operation targeting crime lord Frank Dio goes awry when one of Corrigan's informants is murdered, while Dio narrowly escapes prosecution after disposing of the weapon. Although he's held for 72 hours, Hooker seizes the opportunity to gather enough evidence to secure a conviction. She tracks down Dio's ex-girlfriend, a prostitute, and offers her protective custody and a new identity in exchange for her testimony. Reluctantly, the woman agrees, but as Stacy watches over her younger sister, Hooker must fight to keep the witness safe from Dio's violent henchmen, all while a security breach threatens to expose their location.
