In "Lessons in Love," Kimmy, the captain of the cheerleading squad, coerces Octus, disguised as Newton, into helping her study after she flunks a test. Their tutoring session takes an unforeseen twist. Simultaneously, Lance and Ilana stumble upon a Mutradi monster that has invaded the city, but they find themselves unable to engage their mech suits to combat the threat.
