Episode Overview

Mr. Soulard and the board enlist Drew's help to find a new regional store manager for Winfred-Louder. Drew expresses interest in the long-vacant director of personnel position. Meanwhile, Mr. Wick solicits Drew's backing for the regional manager role, despite lacking qualifications, promising to assist Drew in securing Wick's previous job in return. Although Drew initially resists, Kate and Lewis encourage him to take charge. When Soulard dismisses Drew's highly capable assistant, Malcolm, and informs him that the director position has been eliminated, Drew reluctantly agrees to Wick's scheme. Wick resorts to underhanded tactics against Johnson, Drew's rival for the manager position. At Wick's favorite bar, Hell, a confrontation with Johnson leads to an angry exit by Kate, Lewis, and Oswald, leaving Drew to reflect on his choices.
