Episode Overview
Drew quickly clashes with his tough new boss, Mr. Nichols, and attempts to win him over to avoid being on his bad side. When Nichols is asked to lead a fundraising effort for a church roof, Drew donates $100 and promises to start attending services. He even volunteers to perform at a benefit, despite Nichols and the pastor's doubts. Oswald, Lewis, and Kate falsely support Drew's singing talent, but his act with an accordion and cymbals is so cringe-worthy that Oswald pulls the fire alarm to rescue him from the jeers. After receiving a harsh critique in the church newsletter, Drew believes he would have impressed the audience if he'd finished. Unbeknownst to him, his friends are still withholding the truth. When he seeks out the reviewer, he discovers it’s actually Nichols' teenage son.
