Episode Overview
Winfred-Louder enlists an efficiency consultant, Christine, to manage the store in Mr. Wick's absence. She's a strict overseer but softens her approach towards Drew, harboring feelings for him. Mimi and Nora persuade Drew to pursue a romance with Christine to lighten her demands on the staff. Mimi even offers him $500 to sleep with her, which he declines, though she leaves the check behind for him to ponder. Drew eventually agrees to a date with Christine, who reveals her tough demeanor stems from a desire to boost productivity and prevent layoffs. They bond and end up in bed together. However, when Christine discovers the check, she believes Drew's intentions were mercenary. Despite his attempts to clarify, she threatens his job if he brings it up. On Thanksgiving, Drew visits her apartment, leaving a message after she refuses to see him, insisting on addressing the misunderstanding.
